CBD Oil Buyers Guide: What you need to know.

Here are 7 Questions You Need to Know the Answers to Before Purchasing CBD Hemp Oil.

1. What is the difference between Full Spectrum and CBD Isolate?

Many companies use CBD Isolate which is much less expensive than Full Spectrum CBD. They extract the CBD out of the hemp plant leaving behind the highly beneficial Cannabinoids, terpenes, and lipids..... This is like getting all your fruits and vegetables from a concentrate or powder form. Full Spectrum CBD is similar to eating whole food as it leaves in all the vital nutrients and benefits. This is known as the Entourage effect. At Deep Relief CBD, We use Full Spectrum Hemp Oil, giving you all the amazing benefits of CBD Oil.

2. Where Is the Hemp Sourced?

Many companies import their hemp from Europe, other countries, or states with no quality control or regulations. It may contain pesticides, illegal amounts of THC, toxic metals and other undesirable contaminants. At Deep Relief CBD all our hemp comes from our farm in California where each and every hemp plant is government tested, inspected and approved through strict quality control guidelines.

3. What Carrier Oil is Being Used with the CBD?

Many companies use Olive oil, alcohol, hemp seed oil, or other sub-par carrier oils. These oils are much cheaper than MCT Oil and have a very poor absorption rate as they are broken up by the stomach and disposed of. At Deep Relief CBD we only use high-quality, certified organic MCT Oil. MCT Oil passes through the digestive system and allows for a much higher absorption rate of the CBD.

4. How Do You Know What is In Your CBD Oil?

At Deep Relief CBD we have our CBD Oil Third Party Lab Tested at qualified labs. We have it tested at the source in CA as it is being extracted and then we have it tested at a different lab before it is bottled. This ensures that what we claim is in the bottle actually is in the bottle.

5. Does it have a Money-Back Guarantee?

We offer a 30-Day Unconditional Money Back Guarantee which is pretty much unheard of in the industry!

6. How do you know if the CBD Company is Credible?

We post our address and phone number for everyone to see, we are available online through our website. We have over 10,000 Likes on FB with a 5-star rating and tons of testimonials!

7. How Much Does It Cost?

At Deep Relief you will get the highest quality Full Spectrum CBD at the best prices you can find. We are out changing people's lives and want to make sure they can afford it. We can guarantee that if you compare apples to apples and use the above questions to evaluate any other CBD companies, you will find we have some of the best prices in the industry!

Dosage for Humans and Pets, and how often should I take it?

Simplified for each tincture:

Human Suggested Dosage -Half a dropper 0.50mL (25mg CBD) twice per day under tongue.

Pet Suggested Dosage - 4 drops per 20 lbs. over 100 lbs use human dosage

Pet Treats Dosage- 1 treat per 20lbs increase as needed.

All of our tinctures have the same concentration. This way, the dosage recommendation is the same for all tinctures. As our suggested dosage on the side of each bottle states, we recommend taking 0.50 mL (25mg CBD) twice a day. Please make sure to shake the bottle well to disperse all cannabinoids evenly throughout the tincture. However, this dosage may not be exact for everyone. This is just the starting dose. Every body is different and responds to CBD a bit differently. If you feel you are not receiving the full effects possible, increase your dose. If you feel a bit groggy or tired, we suggest lowering your dose to find the dosage perfect for you.

Twice-daily morning and night.

We recommend experimenting to see what feels best to you. Some need 5 drops, and some need over 50 drops per day to get relief. There is no such thing as "tolerance build" to CBD. Once you find the dosage that works best for you, stick with it! The only reason you ever would need to increase or decrease your dosage is if you are in more/less need of the product. Increase every 5 days as needed.

Which of your CBD and hemp products should I get?

As a company that sells various dietary and food supplements, we can’t suggest any of our products for the prevention, treatment, or cure of any disease or ailment. When considering our different dietary hemp products, know that they all come in the same concentration or strength. In order for us to follow the law that our products need to contain less than 0.3% THC, we have unified our products into a consistent formula across the board. All of our tinctures, whether Delta 8, Full Spectrum, or Broad Spectrum, contain 50mg per mL. There are three different sized bottles for our Full Spectrum Tinctures: 750mg (0.5 oz), 1500mg (1 oz), and 3000mg (2 oz). As shown on our lab tests, we actually go above the concentration that is portrayed on the bottle. This way, we can ensure that you are receiving what you are paying for. We’ve found that sometimes less is more, but nevertheless, some people like to take very large serving sizes of our hemp extracts.

Those who suspect they may have a disease or are seeking help for a disease should consult with a qualified medical professional.

What is the best method of use?

For our dietary supplements (tinctures), we recommend dropping the oil under your tongue for 1 to 5 minutes twice a day morning and night.  If you don’t like the flavor of the oil supplements, you can mix them with something sweet like applesauce or honey to cut through the flavor.

The longer you hold it under the tongue the more absorption you get.

Also can be applied directly to the skin as a secondary method not to replace taking orally.

For our edibles, you are welcome to use the same delivery method as the tincture. This means you can hold it underneath your tongue for the same duration, 1 to 5 minutes, and then send the delicious treat to your digestive system!

Please note that sublingual absorption with the tincture is the quickest way to get CBD into your body. Whereas, gummies, require more time for you to feel the effects.

Where do you source your hemp and CBD from?

We are using 100% California-grown hemp.

What kind of testing/analysis is performed on your products?

We have an industry-leading quality control system, and we have third-party laboratories analyze all of our hemp extracts and our final products for cannabinoid potency, heavy metals, bacterial and microbial life, mycotoxins (fungus), and pesticides.

What type of extraction method do you use?

We use a proprietary extraction method to extract our hemp, the most historically used method for cannabis/hemp extracts. It is a clean and cold extraction method that allows for optimal retention of terpenes and other sensitive compounds.

Alcohol Extracts vs CO2 Extracts

There are many differences between the extracts of carbon dioxide and alcohol involving polarity, bio-availability and ester formation. Carbon dioxide is a liquid gas and only extracts the non-polar chemicals of a plant. Alcohol is a solvent that is made due to plant fermentation and is a by product of plants themselves. It is a solvent made by the plants for the plants. Alcohol is also the only solvent that maintains the original chemical ratios contained in the plant. This is due to alcohol extracting both water soluble and oil soluble components.

The use of carbon dioxide results in a very limited extraction of the plant.  Since the extracts of carbon dioxide are non-polar; carbon dioxide extracts are not water-soluble. This plays a vital role in bio-availability. Since our bodies are 70% water, oils must be digested by different acids and enzymes to become active. During this digestion process, the active ingredients of the oils are degraded.

Since alcohol is both non-polar and polar, it can dissolve a much wider range of molecules that includes almost all of the plants medicinal oils, polysaccharides, carboxylic acids and other beneficial chemicals. In other words, alcohol dissolves both water and oil soluble chemicals found in the plant while carbon dioxide can only dissolve the oil soluble chemicals.  In terms of keeping the plant whole and together, alcohol is the only solvent for the job.

Ester Formation

Something else that happens with alcohol extraction is ester formation. Esters are formed when an organic acid combines with alcohol. When a carboxylic acid is esterified it changes into a more water soluble, bio-available form.

In Conclusion

Alcohol extracts are far superior to any other method of extraction. It extracts the most amount of the chemicals compared to any other solvent. To add, it also can esterify vitamins, oils and other medicinal chemicals making them more bioavailable and water soluble.  This method is far more advanced than any other patented method of extraction and purification and only involves using the plant's naturally contained chemicals.

What is CBD? What is CBD Oil?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring constituent of industrial hemp/cannabis. Its formula is C21H30O2 and it has a molecular mass of 314.4636. It is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and is being scientifically investigated for various reasons.CBD oil is a cannabis oil (whether derived from marijuana or industrial hemp, as the word cannabis is the Latin genus name for both) that has significant amounts of cannabidiol (CBD) contained within it. Our CBD products and extracts are derived from industrial hemp, so they could be considered CBD-rich hemp oil, hemp derived CBD oil, CBD-rich cannabis oil, or plainly “hemp extracts” since they typically contain much more than just CBD. Again, cannabis doesn’t mean marijuana but is the genus name and general umbrella term which all forms of marijuana and hemp fall under. The form of cannabis we use for our CBD and hemp extracts is industrial hemp; we do not sell marijuana.

What is Delta 8?

Welcome to the new High on the block. Introducing Delta-8 otherwise known as D8. D8 offers a clear High which does not trigger Anxiety or confusion, making users feel less altered and more in tune with themselves than when they use traditional delta-9-THC found in marijuana. The upside of D8 is that it heightens the senses and improves perceptibility.

D8 has been known to help with many of the same ailments as traditional thc including:

Antiemetic (inhibits vomit and nausea),

Anti-Anxiety (fights anxiety and panic attacks),

Appetite stimulating

Analgesic (relieves pain)

Neuroprotective (prevents the aging of nerve cells)

We guarantee you will love D8 THC. 100% money-back guarantee.

Delta 8 may be intoxicating to some people. do not drive or operate machinery while using this product. consult a doctor before using this product. may affect blood pressure, heart rate, and/or intraocular pressure in some people. if you have any known or unknown heart, blood pressure, eye, eye pressure, or similar/related issues, do not use this product unless recommended by a doctor. delta 8 metabolites may trigger many drug tests looking for delta 9 . As a precaution do not take this product if you need to pass a drug test.

What is Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 THC is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in both the Marijuana plant as well as in the hemp plant. Each cannabinoid has its own healing properties & affects the body differently.

Delta-8 THC is an isomer or analogue of the well known delta-9 THC. (The main cannabinoid found in marijuana that gets you high.) This means that, on a molecular level, delta-8 THC is very similar to delta-9 THC. Delta-8 naturally occurs in very small amounts in cannabis. It has strong anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, pain relief and neuroprotective effects. Delta-8 THC is less psychoactive than delta-9 THC. This means that you will get many of the benefits with D8 that you would get with D9 THC without getting as “high” as you would get with D9 (normal) THC.

Delta 8 THC can be found in both the Marijuana & Hemp Plant. However, it must come from the Hemp plant in order to be federally legal and fall under the 2018 Farm Bill. This is a very important distinction to understand. The same molecule can be legal or illegal depending upon where it came from. If it is extracted from the Marijuana plant it falls under the Marijuan rules and regulations. It must be extracted or made from the Hemp plant in order to be federally legal.

What Are the Effects of Delta 8 THC?

Delta 8 is less psychoactive than “regular” THC D9 in adults. Some resources claim that Delta* may have neuroprotective and anti-anxiety properties. Keep medicated without anxious side effects!

Users have reported that after medicating with Delta 8 Distillate they experience no side effects of insecurity or paranoia.

As mentioned above, delta-8 THC is less psychoactive than Delta-9 THC, but with many of its own benefits. From my own experience, I would say D8 THC is only about 70% as strong as D9 as far as the psychoactive effect goes. This means that delta-8 THC will create less of a “high” than normal delta-9 THC. This can be a desirable effect for many people seeking the benefits of THC without becoming “too high.”

Delta-8 could be the most effective cannabinoid for nausea according to Dr. Raphael Mechoulam's 1995 study of delta-8 THC on pediatric cancer patients in Israel. Delta-8 THC was given to eight children ranging from 3 to 13 years of age who were going through chemotherapy for various forms of cancer. Delta-8 treatments were administered before each dose of chemotherapy and continued every six hours for 24 hours. The results of this study were extremely promising – with delta-8 THC treatments, all vomiting was prevented and side effects were insignificant. (Abrohomov 1995) In addition to its powerful anti-emetic capabilities, the National Cancer Institute cites delta-8 as having strong anti-anxiety and appetite stimulating effects… all with lower cognitive effects typically seen with THC. (NCI Drug Dictionary 2019)

IS D8 THC Legal Where I Live?

Please understand that we are not lawyers and are not giving legal advice. Please consult your attorney and abide by your local and state laws. With that being said……. From what we understand, UNLIKE D9 THC, D8 THC is federally legal in the United States as long as it comes from the Hemp plant and not the Marijuana plant. However, LIKE D9 THC, each state has its own opinion on the matter. D8 THC is legal in all but the following states in the United States of America: PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL & STATE LAWS.

Rhode Island

What Are the Differences Between D8 & D9 THC?

D8 THC is only about 70% as psychoactive as D9 THC and doesn’t seem to get you as high.

The psychoactive effects do not seem to last as long as D9 THC

Can be purchased over the counter in most states in the USA. See list above.

How Do You Take D8 THC?

Since D8 THC is only found in very small amounts in the cannabis plant, it must be extracted out of the plant in order to use. This means there are no D8 THC Buds or flowers.

The 2 main ways to consume D8 THC would be in Vape form or in some type of oil or edible form.

Vaping is the quickest way to get the THC into your system as you will feel it within 1 to 5 minutes or so. However, it will only last for a few hours at most. You will find it blended with Terpenes to give it the flavor & strain profile.

Edibles can take an hour or more to get into your system, however, the effect can last for up to 6 hours or more. The most common edibles are Gummies & Tinctures. In gummies, they are just infused or rolled in D8 THC and in Tinctures, it is blended with MCT oil and placed under the tongue.

In Closing, Researchers are finding new cannabinoids and new amazing health benefits of cannabis every day. Scientists and researchers are excited and optimistic about cannabis being a major player in the huge holistic health movement. D8 THC is an exciting new psychoactive cannabinoid that has amazing healing properties similar to D9 THC without so much of the high.

What is the endocannabinoid system (ECS)?

“The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a group of endogenous cannabinoid receptors located in the mammalian brain and throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems, consisting of neuromodulatory lipids and their receptors.” WikipediaThere are two main types of receptors in the ECS, CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily located in the central nervous system and brains of mammals, and CB2 are generally found in the peripheral nervous system. There are two main cannabinoids mammals produce- 2AG and Anandamide (named after the Sanskrit term “Ananda,” which translates to “peace”).For hundreds of millions of years every vertebrate on Earth has been equipped with this ECS, a crucial system in the body, and it has been known about in the scientific and medical communities since the 1980’s. However, it’s still not taught about in most medical schools.

If a hemp extract is 40% cannabinoids, what’s the other 60%? What’s in your hemp extracts besides the naturally occurring cannabinoids?

Our hemp extracts contain over 80 different phyto-cannabinoids such as cannabidiol (CBD), CBC, CBG, CBN, etc.. In addition to the cannabinoids naturally present in our agricultural hemp extracts, there are also many other types of natural molecules and phytochemical compounds such as amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins (including B1, B2, B6, D), fatty acids (including omega 3 & 6), trace minerals (including iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, potassium), beta-carotene, chlorophyll, flavonoids, ketones, nitrogenous compounds, alkanes, glycosides, pigments, water, and terpenes. The most common terpenes in our hemp extracts are Myrcene, Beta-caryophyllene, Terpinolene, Linalool, alpha-Pinene, beta-Pinene, Nerolidol og Phytol, trans-alpha-Bergamotene, Limonene/ beta-Phellandrene (Co-elution), and alpha-Humulene.

What’s the difference between Hemp and Marijuana?

Scientifically, industrial Hemp and Marijuana are the same plants, with a genus and species name of Cannabis Sativa. They have a drastically different genetic profile though. Industrial Hemp is always a strain of Cannabis sativa, while marijuana can be Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, or Cannabis ruderalis. The major difference is how industrial hemp has been bred compared to a marijuana form of Cannabis sativa. Typically speaking, industrial hemp is very fibrous, with long strong stalks, and barely has any flowering buds, while a marijuana strain of Cannabis sativa will be smaller, bushier, and full of flowering buds. However, newer industrial hemp varieties in the USA are being bred to have more flowers and higher yields of cannabinoids and terpenes, such as our Colorado hemp we’re now using! 99% of the time marijuana has a high amount of THC and only a very low amount of CBD. Hemp, on the other hand, naturally has a very high amount of CBD in most instances and only a trace amount of THC. Fortunately, the cannabinoid profile of hemp is ideal for people looking for benefits from cannabis without the ‘high.’ Hemp is used for making herbal supplements, food, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and so much more, whereas marijuana is usually used just recreationally, spiritually, and medicinally. The term cannabis oil can refer to either a marijuana or hemp derived oil since marijuana and hemp are two different forms of cannabis. In the USA the legal definition of “industrial hemp,” per Section 7606 of the Agricultural Appropriations Act of 2014, is “INDUSTRIAL HEMP — The term ‘‘industrial hemp’’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”

Are hemp derived cannabinoids such as CBD as good as CBD from marijuana?

The short answer is yes. CBD is CBD, whether from marijuana or hemp. Most marijuana has a very low non-psychoactive cannabinoid profile (like CBD, CBC, CBG), so most of the time hemp would be much more preferable for anything besides THC. Marijuana is usually very high in THC (which gives people the high) but usually very low in other non-psychoactive cannabinoids. It would only be a strain to strain comparison, not Hemp VS Marijuana. Nowadays in the USA, many farmers are growing industrial hemp flowers that are just as beautiful, odor-producing, and terpene rich as the best marijuana strains, such as our partnered farmers in Colorado.

What’s the percentage of cannabinoids and CBD in your product?

Our raw extracts have varying percentages of cannabinoid and cannabidiol (CBD) content. Our Full Spectrum Tinctures have the same concentration. We offer our Full Spectrum Tincture in a 750mg (0.5 oz.), 1500mg (1 oz.), and a 3000mg (2 oz.).

What is the safety of your hemp extracts? Are there negative side effects?

Our oil is double lab tested for quality and safety.

Please consult with your physician before using any dietary supplement including Hemp extract supplements.

Is a standard hemp seed oil the same as a high-CBD hemp extract?

Definitely not. Standard hemp seed oil, which can be found very cheaply at a grocery store, is a much different product than our full spectrum hemp extracts (not from seed). Standard hemp seed oil is produced by cold pressing the seeds, whereas our hemp extract is a full plant extraction with many components not found in the seeds. Hemp seed oil is considered to be a great nutritive food, but it doesn’t have the naturally occurring terpenes, cannabinoids and other components that our extracts do have.

Is your Hemp Extract Oil similar to Rick Simpson Hemp Oil?

Not quite. Ours are from hemp and RSHO is usually using marijuana, a different form of cannabis than industrial hemp. Our industrial hemp extracts are more standardized and will usually have a much higher content of non-psychoactive cannabinoids like CBD than one produced through the Rick Simpson method. And oils produced through this method will usually have a much higher THC content, as it’s typically marijuana that is used for RSHO.†

Generally speaking, most marijuana producers and sellers (especially on the black market) don’t test for contaminants (metals, pesticides, bacteria, etc.). Rick Simpson Hemp Oil is actually a method of extraction than it is a specific product. People use the Rick Simpson method with hundreds of different strains of marijuana, so the THC, CBD and other cannabinoid content of the final oil always vary greatly, depending on the cannabis the consumers are acquiring. Usually what’s used for Rick Simpson oil is a strain with an inferior CBD content (and high THC), because that’s what the vast amount of marijuana is nowadays.
